Bold 9700 deliema
Hello everyone, this is my first post!
But not my first blackberry, i currently have two blackberry curve 8310's sitting on my desk, one of which i was using up until a few days ago.
i recently bought a bold 9700 (awesome phone) on ebay
my problem is, i am an at&t customer, i bought an at&t phone; or so i thought, the phone i have here with me says at&t on the casing, back etc but the software is branded tmobile. i bought an unlock code and got my sms and calling to work fine. the problem being the internet/wifi wont work. and every time i reboot the phone, i get a message from tmobile saying "error in activation, please resend using a valid 10 digit code"
the seller i bought the phone from is offering to exchange it for an actual at&t branded phone identical to this one. but i was wondering if there was a way to make my phone work the way its supposed to.
i tried updating the software, but the device manager wont let me because i dont have a data plan/the phone isnt activated.
also tried using the apploader and deleting vendor.xml. it just says (device manager does not contain device software for your device.
so im at a crossroads, should i send it back and get the at&t one, or can one of you guys tell me a way to patch it together to make it work. because im scared the at&t one he sends me wont be in as good of condition as this one is, trust me. this tmo one dosent even have a scratch on it
