Bold 9700 charging/battery

Hi guys so I'm new at this... a couple of months ago my blackberry bold 9700 started behaving rather odd. The battery would drain with a 50% capacity remaining. I've tried everything in the book, use 2G instead of 3G, downgraded the software, bought 3 new batteries, the issue still remains. I noticed while charging it would reach a capacity of 45 or 50% and then jump to battery full. What could possibly be the problem?

Please help, I love my phone

Since it's not a battery issue (if you have used 3 new batteries with your Blackberry Bold 9700)
Have you tried reinstalling the OS?

Yeah i tried re-installing the OS.. I upgraded to OS6 when it was just released for Bold 9700, last night I downgraded to OS5.. Problem still persists. I even got someone to check the phone from inside in case it was a hardware problem.. power ic and what not seem fine... Even tried different chargers..
