Default Bluetooth help a2dp

Hi all,

I'm the proud user of a blackberry bold 9700. I recently bought a bluetooth headset, it's a motorola h720. I bought it to use it for calling and stuff, but I also wanted to use it to listen to music and streaming radio on my phone. I did pair the phone and the headset successfully, and it works great while in a call, but unfortunately, when I try to listen to music / radio streaming, the sound comes through the speaker phone, and not the headset. I'm with telus so I called them, and the guy told me that a2dp wasn't supported with my phone and that the headset is working properly. I thought he was wrong though, so I checked on a few sites and got both answers, so I'm confused. Does the motorola h720 supports the profile a2dp? Or am I doing something wrong? If the headset is the problem, would someone please give me a list of a few headsets that support a2dp? Thanks.

1. That headset does not support A2DP stereo. (Note that a quick glance at the specs or a Google Search for 'motorola h720 a2dp' reveals that.)

2. Look for headsets that support stereo. It will state in the specs if A2DP is supported. The Jawbone ICON is what I use.

SwitchBeach is correct the H720 does not support A2DP. I use the Jawbone Icon as well, look for a headset that does support A2DP.
