Default Blackberry bold 9700 problems?..

Alright, this is the phone i'm looking into buying. I've been looking at reviews everywhere, but it's still hard to know about the phone without owning one.
So i ask you, owners of this phone, can you tell me what some common problems for this phone are?
Specifically in low network zones, as my house is just that. But all problems that occured for you more then once?
Much appreciated.

Had my 9700 for 18 months now and have had NO problems with it at all.

Like you, I live in a rural area with quite a weak signal but you will need to find an OS that works best where you live. I only ever get GPRS but it's acceptable with OS6 668 and quite a few of the older OS's. It certainly works as well as any other phone I've had over the years.

Alan.

I got mine 2 years ago on the first day it came out. After I updated to OS6 it slowed down a lot, as if the new OS update was too much for it to handle and I was left with less memory for apps. I feel it's slow and I get the hour glass a lot now. Sometimes it freezes on me for over 5 minutes at a time. Maybe it's not a problem with the actual 9700's, but maybe it's just that my phone is 2 years old. Still, a blackberry is supposed to be solid and shouldn't be acting up on my like it has the past 6 months. My Bold 9900 will arrive in the mail in 2 days!

P.S. I've read a lot of comments on how people are still running strong with their 9700's without issues. If mine had no issues i probably would not have upgraded to the 9900.

Shrinking OS 6 or downgrading to OS 5 is likely what you're leaning towards besides the 9900. The 9700 is likely good as a spare in case things go wrong.

Exclamation Bb bold 9700

I had a blackberry bold 9700 and I was very happy with it until one day it turned off randomly and will not reboot. It tries, turns off & continues to try until the battery is dead. I did some research and there are many 9700s having the same issue.

9700 is good depending on what you want. If you want really good battery with all the great bb feature then it's really good. If you want to web browse then go with a 9900 or other OS7 device. Web pages crash too much on OS6. Pretty solid device though.

I've had mine for about a month and haven't had any real issues other than not being able to set up email...
