Blackberry Bold 9700 Network Problems! HELP

Hey there, i recently signed up to this site so i could get some help with my bb bold 9700, i recently switched the housing from white to a sweet chrome gold, and ever since then my phone has been having some major network problems... It used to be 3G and that little blackberry sign and like 3-5 bars all the time, and now it barely does that. it goes to like GPRS and like EDGE and stuff. also sometimes it cant even pick up a network and goes to the SOS... it really has me frustrated, because even sometimes a battery pull wont work towards this. it gives me no signal at school now, and before it used to give me 4-5 bars and 3G, now i get the odd 1-3 bars and GPRS.. IF i'm lucky. its really stupid because now i cant text at school and stuff. i'd appreciate if someone could help me out here. did i damage some kind of signal receptor?

I would never recommend changing your OEM Housing, most aftermarket housing do not carry all the components from which the OEM carries especially Antenna connectors and speakers etc.. that's the problem your having with the network connections and bad receptions

Double check the Old Housing and compare the items to see if something is missing...

well ive done some looking into it, and i found that there is a piece on the very bottom, that is like square and has two metal connectors on it. m pretty sure that may be the antenna. although i do not know how to remove it... lol

and that may be your Antenna Connecting points if they aren't in the new housing then thats where your problems are

You need to try another housing, if it's the housing then switch it.
