So mine has no lean.... at least not that I can tell.....it does move a little (wobble) but that is because it is used as a button too.

Just got my 9700 today and the track pad seems fins. I haven't even had to play with the sensitivity.

The one thing I did notice is that it is considerably smaller then my old Curve and my co-workers Bold. Also the keys seem to be designed for a right handed person (I am left handed). They feel raised on the right side to make it easier to use with your right hand.

That is going to take some getting use to you with my pudgy fingers.

I just had this problem, returned it today at the tmo store and picked one that was nice and tight. It was leaning down to the left as if it was colapsed. I was not pleased, and unsure if this is a normal occurance.

If it was an 85xx I could understand... but RIM has been touting the build quality, not to mention that this is their flagship device (in their own words). This seems to be a problem of the way in which the trackpad is secured.

Hopefully it will be fixed with a minor hardware revision in a month or two, and then you can just get a warranty replacement.

They have also been dealing with lots of potential customers pissing and moaning like little girls to get the fockers out the door ASAP because every retarded BB fan wants his new toy yesterday.

Or you could wait till all the kinks are worked out then get one then.

Okay that's it I am officially "Anal". OCD has kicked in, which means I contacted Vodafone today, explained the problem and that I believe this is a design fault.

They are sending a new one tomorrow morning via courier.

I got the impression that they were more than aware of the problem, as when I asked how do I know if they replacement will have a leaning trackpad or not, she replied that they are now clear of the first batch and that these will be coming from a different factory!

The rep said she hadn't seen the phone, but that I have another 28 days to return it for a NEW, and not refurb replacement.

I will report back my findings.

Legs crossed

I'm on my 3rd replacement phome from the tmo stores. First one wobbled like a monster. Second one had a busted *** bezel. The third one I'm using is leaning and wobbles slightly less than my first one. The store rep told me that this was my last in-store exchange lol. I'm still debating if I should return the phone since I'm still under the 14 day replacement thingie.

Just unboxed it and.....

No wobbly, on a very slight lean and no creeks.

Lets see if 1. The lean develops further after use. 2. My OCD can take an ever so very minute lean
