The reason why the trackpad is leaning is because the ribbon cable thats connected to the trackpad is connected from that corner and its kind of "tugging" on it i believe. the only way to fix it is to raise the trackpad (look at the "how i fixed my wobble" thread) thats what i did to mine. I hope this helps

For the record, I got a 9700 at T-Mobile yesterday and my trackpad leans to the top. It was made in Canada. :/

Default BB 9700 problems

I'm on my THIRD 9700. First one crashed at the BB loading bar when turning on. (would load to a certain point and then stop) so it was sent away and a week later was sent a new one. After 2 weeks with this one I get a white screen come up randomly saying 501 error..it was taken back and sent away again, 3 weeks later (a long *** wait) I get another, picked it up yesterday, when I got home and played with it I noticed the trackball leaning to the left quite a bit, me liking everything to be nice and perfect HATES this. My two previous 9700's were great!! no trackball problems or anything, shame!

Then moving it around my hand and turning it around i noticed a rattle noise of all the plastic bits which is the keyboard and the t-mobile plastic part at the bottom, any idea how i can stick it down to stop that? (just sounds so cheap and crappy)

I don't wanna have to send another one back! I've been without a Blackberry longer than actually using it since my new contract started .

I just got my 9700 today in the mail from letstalk.com . It has the lean to the top left right out of the box. I was wondering if you think at&t will let me exchange it in a store so i can look at the new one they would give me. Instead of having to go through letstalk.com and not see what they are giving me.

My 9700 is fine right now, but wow I just KNOW I'm going to be noticing that flaw once it happens to mine thanks to this thread .

Mine was like that got it exchanged then now my call button is more slanted down on the bottom right. Wtf? O_o anyway..hard to notice. Better than my trackpad being crooked. Now there's just a bigger gap on the bottom and right of the trackpad. At least its even.

I may be late and i am a noob to this but my blackberry bold 9700 had the same problem this is how i fixed it.. take apart the blackberry completely (watch a tutorial before hand) and once you take out the track pad you will see a little black thing under it un clip this and all you have to do is rotate it 90 degrees but before you put it back in place put the track pad in place and then clip the black thing back in. you will notice that there is a corner missing on this black thing you will have to fill this gap with a piece of cardboard or something (i used foam) hope this helps...
