BBM 7 issues

Updated BBM to 7.0.0.126 on my bold and now it won't work, it says "associating BBM with your blackberry id" and just sits there for ever. Any suggestions besides deleting and reinstalling or is that my only real option?

I didn't know OS7 worked at all on the older BB phones? I thought OS6 was as high as you could go.

OS7 doesn't, BBM version 7 does, however. OS7 refers to the actual operating system of the phone.

Dont feel bad, in the unlocking forum, i gave a guy one code, when he posted multiple IMEI's, because too many people have spam posted their IMEI over and over. although his IMEI for all devices was identical for the first 5 or 6 digits. whole bunch of 9800s from the same lot & same carrier. so 6 identical IMEI digits, plus identical MEP-IDs, and i didn't give him all the codes right away.

I have the same issue. I have seen other people with the same problem and so far the general opinion seems to be uninstall v7 and 7reinstall 6. I'm wondering if this is because it's on a new phone or not?

i got it to work, i had to uninstall and reinstall bbm 7 twice, but i got it to work on my 9700, worked fine on my 9810 work phone.
