Default BB 9700 Question which carrier?!

So, I want to get a 9700, but I didn't realize there was so much headache over it. But I understand that the different carriers operate on different frequencies e.g. AT&T & Tmob. But I was looking at the phone at best buy online ( BlackBerry - Bold Mobile Phone (Unlocked) - Black - BLACKBERRY 9700 ) and under the damn specifications it has GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz|3G 900/1700/2100MHz. After reading all those threads i cant believe that's legit...unless it is? help plox?

You need 1700 for T-Mo and 1900 for at&t. The phone won't have both, as you correctly discerned.

yes okay, but then which does it have?? I called and the guy was just, as if not more, oblivious than I am "well, the phone is unrbanded, so its not hooked to ANY carriers!" ...bold claim (ha ha get it..bold..) but seriously, which will it (3g) work on, Tmob or ATT? I know if i get the wrong one and end up putting the sim in ill only get EDGE but i want to make sure that doesnt happen, so how do i know?

based on the description. Looks like T-mobile 3G

    850 / 1900 / 2100 = good for Att
    900 / 1700 / 2100 = good for T-mo
