Got a reconditioned 9700 on Saturday from a mobile phone unlocking shop, at first everything was working fine and was proving to be a nice little purchase.

Then today after taking it off charge overnight I have found it is now doing the following:

• Powering up then after a while powering itself off again
• The track-pad has suddenly stopped working, also so have all the keys as in nothing will do anything

I have tried the battery reset trick and also updating the OS.

I've got the receipt, so as far as i'm aware an exchange or refund shouldn't be an issue.

Does anyone have any fixes for this or am i best taking it back and getting my money back or another handset?

If you can I would exchange it before I did anything else. What OS is it running and which one did you try to update with?

Just return it. You've got a faulty device.

Yeah been sleeping on it and thats what I will be doing. Just much easier outcome in the end.
