Default Battery too low for camera flash use

I am getting the Battery too low for flash use message when my battery is up at 75-80%.
Getting really annoying not being able to use my video light.

    Few things to note:
    1) There seems to be no issue with the battery, it's reading 80% at the time of the message and the battery lasts a long time after that.

    2) Battery pulls make no difference.

Ever since I loaded OS 6.0.0.668 I am having this issue.
I just tried to load OS 6.0.0.666 and I'm having the same issue.

If this is an OS issue with 9700 then others should be getting the same issue.... anyone?

I'm thinking to go back to an even older OS but I can't remember which one was the best.
    was it 6.0.0.461?

Not heard of this issue before. Sounds like you may have a faulty device. Might be worth trying another battery just in case.
Do as you would be done by and 12 pence to the shilling (or 100 cents to the dollar).

I got a hold of another battery at 55% charge. In that guy's phone on OS5 the camera flash went off.
Moved it to my phone, and flash did not go stating the same battery too low garbage.

So, I will have to try moving to 6.0.0.461 and hope this makes the difference. If it's hardware then I'm SOL for at least a couple months until I upgrade phones.

I'm having the exact same issue with my 9700. I took it back to OS 5 and it still doesn't work.

I have exactly same problem with my Bold 9780. I tried with an other battery and then it worked fine. So, I suggest battery replacement is the solution.
