besides the the problem with the 9900, how is it otherwise, how is audio quality/ call quality compared to 9700 and how is the signal reception.

i went back to a 9700 from a Torch 9810 and now waiting on my 9900 to come. OS7 is so much better the OS6. if the 9700 didn't have the web browser crash problem, low memory, and the window panel OS6 deal i'd probably stick with it. but OS7 is so much faster i'm going to go for the 9900 and hope .540 fixes the bricking problem.

9700 is very reliable i have to say.

Love my 9700! Great size, reliable, great battery life. Wouldn't even consider a change until OS10.

Only reason why I got the 9900 was because windmobile wasn't compatible with my robelus 9700 due to it not supporting AWS 1700. If it did support it, I would have activated it on the network.

none of the new os 7 berries come even close to the 9700's battery life.rim really did a wonder with the 9700 series.that good a battery life would largely would have been due to because of 9700's small screen and size.no wonder why heavy users would be hesitant to upgrade.

i'm on my second 9700 -- love it for the battery life and UMA (and it's size).

i almost went for a 9810 or a 9900 but the 2 things that I appreciate my 9700 for are what's lacking in those two models and it's what's kept me from upgrading right now.

may even get another 9700 as a backup to this one...

I am on my second 9700 and as a user of BlackBerry for 10 years I have to say that it is the BEST BB made. The only downfall is the low memory but as far as signal strength, battery life and overall durability the 9700 series is tops IMO. I was lured to the 9900 but am not convinced that it will be totally better than my 9700. I like the size of the 9900 as it compares to the 9000 but will more than likely wait until all the bugs I have heard/read are worked out.
