Default All emails "Received Using: Unknown"

Moved from an 8900 to 9700 and on the rogers.blackberry.com website put in new PIN and IMEI and it switched as i figured it should.

Problem: All emails come in with Received Using: Unknown and anything i send says Sent Using: Unknown. I get all emails and can send them just fine but i'm NEVER notified when i receive something. Really not liking how the sound profiles work on this blackberry, too many options for every nit picky thing. Anyways, theres no options anywhere to setup sounds for an unknown message source, and I've no idea how to fix this.

Really not interested in spending potentially hours with Rogers again.

Have the carrier resend your service books.
Or you can do it yourself on the BIS page for your carrier.

    On your 9700:

Options >> Advanced Options >> Host Routing Table

Highlight the one in bold. Menu button >> Register Now

If that fails, it's pretty easy to delete your e-mail address from your BlackBerry and re-register through the Manage Internet Email option.

As far as your Sound Profiles are concerned. It's definitely worth going through thouroughly at least once. Don't be lazy!

I've had this problem with Gmail and here's how I resolved it:

    - Delete Service Book for gmail account [Options => Device => Advanced System Settings => Service Book => gmail address [CMIME]

    - Power down device and pull out battery

    - Change your gmail password at the gmail site (you cannot reuse an old password)

    - Change your blackberry ID password at blackberryid.blackberry.com

    - Power Blackberry up

    - Send yourself the Service Books by going to Setup => Email Accounts => Click Blackberry button => Service Books => Send Service Books

    - Enter your new gmail and Blackberry ID passwords when prompted by the device

Delete the service books installed on your Blackberry and reinstall using r0cketman22's instructions (register host routing table).

Deleting the service books installed on my Blackberry and reinstalling using r0cketman22's instructions (register host routing table) did not work for me. The solution I posted at All emails "Received Using: Unknown" did, however, do the trick.
