    Default advice please

    Hello,
I am new to these forums and also Blackberry.
I have a Bold 9700 and have to say its awesome, probably the best phone I've ever owned.
    The problems I'm having are:
I have downloaded blackberry app world, but it keeps dissapearing and I have to download and reinstall again.
    Any Ideas?
    also
I have downloaded the bible, had it working but its stopped? When I try to load it up it freezes at the load screen. I have deleted it and reinstalled but its still not working.
    Help please?

    Thanks in advance

    Daz

    P.S
What is the best case/skin for it? I dont want anything bulky.

App world will disappear if you install an app thru app world but delete it outside of app world. All apps installed thru app world must be deleted thru app world (my world).

I don't use skins or cases so I can't help you there, sorry.
    Oh and welcome to crackberry.

Personally, I would avoid using App World. Most apps can be obtained outside of it anyway.

The Bible app, I'd need a link to try and see if it works on mine. There's a lot of apps out there, and if it did work, then you added something else and it stopped, that could be the problem. Any app you install, you need to confirm is designed for a 5.0 OS or it may create issues.

For a skin, I've been using the Epik Resin, available on eBay for less than $10 shipped. It's durable, thin enough to still fit the holster, and looks good too.

I agree with Wulf, you don't need app world to install most of your apps. You can google most of the apps you want to install and you will find the direct links. You can also search the apps section on CB .

Here's a nice case thread you could check out...

    http://forums.crackberry.com/f146/be...9700-a-406432/

Also if you go to the advanced search page and use keyword "case" you'll get a bunch of threads. Make sure you go to the 9700 forum then use the advanced search. Search titles only from drop down. Here's the search page:

I also have no reason to use app world. I just mainly use CrackBerry app account.

I bought an otterbox commuter but returned it the same day for an OEM gel skin. The otter box IMHO added too much bulk and I did not like the otterbox branding on the back I got the OEM flat black gel skin much better in my opinion very thin and did not attract lint the the otter box did.
