Default 9700 - Wobbly 'tmobile' panel?

I'm loving this phone - just switched from the iphone and no regrets!!

I'm wondering whether anyone else has noticed that the panel just below the keypad, which says 'tmobile' (or whatever your carrier is) is slightly loose and moves around? The first phone i purchased was like this, went into the store and showed the rep who agreed it was grounds for an exchange - opened two more and they were the same, so I just decided to keep the one I had. Now I'm tempted to go to a different store (maybe a different batch).

Thanks for your thoughts

I am having the same issue. The lower part of the keyboard with the AT&T branding is extremely loose! When the phone vibrates I can hear the piece rattle, annoying but definitely doesn't affect the functionality of the phone. I will be heading to an AT&T store in the am to get an exchange.

Mine is loose too. It rattles when I shake my phone and I don't want to exchange it cus I have no other problems with the phone and I want a unbranded one but I don't know if its the branded piece itself or where It connects to

I am second guessing my initial decision, other than the loose piece, the phone has been flawless! Maybe I could live with it, but then again its a brand new phone and it should not have any unintended loose pieces.

The piece you're talking about is user replaceable. I'd just go and buy the unbranded piece on cnn.cn for $7.99.

Mine is tight that piece just snaps out to reveal two screws to open the case. Try removing and re installing it just wedge something like a guitar pick between the space bar and the piece and lift up to pop it off. Maybe it can be re seated.

Default Update -

So I went into the tmobile store today with my phone and told the reps of this problem - and each of the three reps also had this 'wobbly panel' and claimed it was just a build issue. I'm not sure why, but I had a gut feeling I should get an exchange anyway. Lo and behold, the new one came out rock solid - no movement whatsover, and no other issues (as far as I can tell). The reps were amazed. It turns out my original (and all three of theirs) were manufactured in Canada, and the new one I got was made in Mexico. Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but I'm very happy right now!
