    Default 9700 problems, help please

    - The red star doesn't show up when I get a new message to any of my accounts, only the red star shows up on the 'all messages' folder. I've looked everywhere to change the setting.

    - Sent messages aren't showing up in any folders even though I have 'hide sent messages' unchecked.

I just upgraded to the latest version of the software and it didn't solve any problems.

    I'm on the Rogers Network.

    Thanks for any help.
Thoughts on the new Blackberry .... OS10 not good enough, Z10 not good enough, Q10 too late, Thorstein did a horrible presentation introducing the 'new blackberry', bad first impression, marketing campaign equally poor. Name change from RIM to Blackberry ridiculous, wasted time and money. I don't think things are going to go well for Blackberry.

try going to your messages->options and distinguishing the bb icons which show your new options and perhaps that might help your problem. in the sms icon the options window shows 'theme controlled/combined/separate' choose your preferred option, make sure you're using a default (installed on phone from initial startup) theme and see if the preferences you've chosen have been rendered.
