9700 problem
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my Blackberry 9700.
In fact, for a few month, my Blackberry starts (there is the loading menu) and while the blackberry is getting started, he "crashes" and then he restarts.
This things repeats each time that I put the battery in.
As well, i can't access to the Blackberry OS !
A wipe can not be done because the blackberry couldn't be recognize by the computer.
Does it really dead ?
How can i fix that problem ?
Thanks you for reading my problem and hoping that a solution can be find. - 07-07-2012, 07:15 PM #2
The problem is probably with an program (application) tha tyou have installed.
Reboot the phone into Safe Mode (mode sans echec) by pressing and holding the <Escape> key (right of trackpad) for the first 30 secs of the boot.
This will boot the phone sans les application 3e partie.
If this fixes the problem then you must de-install your application until the phone works.
- 07-07-2012, 07:37 PM

Try to connect it to a computer without the battery.

XOx75 . [Sorry guys, but he's French so I'll advice in French]

- 07-09-2012, 12:13 PM #11
Ok, I reached my limits, so I translate the last post of xOx75 so that others may help better.
Please note, we've also made some tries by PM last being: "shut down the phone (hold the red phone button), start the DM (wait), plug the phone with USB", with no more success.
Anyone having an emergency debrick procedure ?
P.S: feel free to post in English, I'll translate if XOX75 PM me.

Pre-Install Tasks
1. Disconnect the device from the PC
2. Download and install Desktop Manager and the Handheld OS to the PC (if they have not already been installed):
Desktop Manager and Handheld OS List
Command Line Tasks
1. Start a Command Prompt in DOS from the PC (Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt)
2. Change the directory to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
•If you do not know how to navigate to this directory follow instructions in 2a)
2a)
From C:\ prompt type:
cd \Program Files <hit enter>
cd Common Files <hit enter>
cd Research In Motion <hit enter>
cd AppLoader <hit enter>
3. Make sure Desktop Manager is not running
4. Connect BlackBerry to the PC
5. Enter the following command in the Command Prompt window:
loader.exe /nojvm
Installation
1. The Application Loader Wizard window will open
2. Click on Next
3. You will get a drop down list with the COM ports and one USB port entry
4. Select the one which says USB:UNKNOWN
•If you do not see USB:UNKNOWN or USB:BBPIN, then follow instructions listed in a1-a5:
a1) Disconnect the device from the PC.
a2) Keep the Application Loader Wizard window open
a3) Remove the battery and put it back
a4) While the red led is on, reconnect the device to the PC. The led will only stay on for a few seconds
a5) When USB:UNKNOWN appears in the drop down list, you need to immediately select Next
5. The loader should now connect to your device and you will be able to reinstall the OS

Hi everyone,
I give you some news about my problem.
In fact, i've tried carullo's solution, i've installed an 9700 OS by downloading it RIM Website.
Everything works until in AppLoader, this one tells me that it doesn't find something to install for my 9700.
(i've installed an AT&T BlackBerry OS)
So, I'm still in trouble.
Thanks to everyone ! - 07-12-2012, 05:42 AM #15

I've tried everything on AppLoader by installing some kind BlackBerry 9700 software and that one always tells me : "no application has been found for your device".
I've deleted vendor.xml and it still doesn't work.
I'm losing hopes, i think my smartphone is dead.
No one could help me ? - 07-16-2012, 04:56 PM #18
You need to find ALL the vendor.xml files. There is a hidden file in a hidden folder.
Unhide all the folders. Search the WHOLE computer. - 07-19-2012, 04:03 PM
