9700 issues
ok, i am on my fourth 9700 from t mobile. all three previous phones had issues, the 1st had icon issues show constant -1 emails on all my email icons, the second continuously restarted itself and the third had a spot inside the lens somehow and would always show up on light backgrounds when i took photos or video (very annoying)... now, on my fourth 9700, i now have a battery issue, i had my phone in its pocket case today at work and checked it before my lunch (it sits on my desk), it was very very warm... the battery was fully charged and now it won't hold a charge. my coworkers say i must be "electro static". i must say that i almost always have issues with almost every phone within the first month or so... has anyone heard of any such thing? t mobile is express mailing a new battery and charger... using my 8320 in the mean time..

I gave up on my 9700 from TMO. Reboots, dropped calls, odd things happening with contacts... I need my phone to be reliable and the 9700 I had was anything but reliable. Mine was made in Mexico and the one they wanted to replace it with was also Mex, so I declined. $483 after taxes, I expected it to be much better. Went back to the 8900. I really miss that trackpad, but like having a phone that really works. I don't know if the problem was the phone or the network here having issues, but I don't have the time or patience to wait for them to fix it.

Here's what I found on wikipedia, and it seems plausible.
These charges then remain on the object until they either bleed off to ground or are quickly neutralized by a discharge: e.g., the familiar phenomenon of a static 'shock' is caused by the neutralization of charge built up in the body from contact with nonconductive surfaces. - 05-13-2010, 09:43 AM #6
This is my first BB and I was told by everyone what a great purchase I'd made, I was chuffed ..... now though, after 16 days its all going wrong. I can receive emails but can't reply or send new ones. I have a permanently flashing green led (of which I was told by the store should only flash if the battery is low) and to top it all off - I've now found that I can't send SMS either. What am I paying for ? Does anyone know how I can fix these issues please, I'm so miserable as I'm now passed the 14 day return period. My service provider is 3 and I've not had problems with them before.

Static
I am now on my first 9700 which has the same static and dropped call issues as my 5 9000's, ATT keeps telling me it is a phone issue, how can 6 phones and 2 different models all have the same problem? has anyone had these same issues or by some luck have an answer to this problem? Thanks

the green flashing led is blinking because your LED coverage indicator is turned on. to turn it off, go to settings>screen/keyboard>LED coverage indicator and see if it is turned on or off. I have att 9700 problems also. if i set a specific ringtone for someone, my phone will either just vibrate, or ring for about a second and say i have a missed call when the other person did not hang up. My phone also likes to randomly exit out of screens and go back to the home screen. Don't get me wrong, I love my bold, but every phone I have had with ATT has had problems that the service people have never had happen to other phones. I have been with ATT for about 3 years and I have had over 16 phones because the ones I have never work.

Haha. That's funny to me because I'm on my third 9700 since January.. Just got this new one about 2 days ago and it won't even go to mass storage mode.. So now I can't even sync anything on it with Blackberry Desktop Manager. Does anyone know how to fix this?
