9700 blank white screen. HELP!!!
Hey guys, I took my blackberry 9700 out of the holster and I noticed the screen was white. There is nothing but a WHITE screen. I did a soft reset and it went back to normal.
Did anyone had this problem before?
I just wanted to know if this should be a big concern.

If you're talking about the "pocket" type holster with the battery in it that puts the phone to sleep, my 8310 used to do it ALL THE TIME until I stopped using the case. I just use a screen protector and skin now and it has NEVER done it again. Hopefully more 9700 owners will respond so you know for sure.

have you noticed anything that's unusal....such as the the booting sequence for soft reset (alt, shift, and del) is different at times?
just curious. cuz when I do it, at times, there would be a different sequence when soft resetting.

Hi bbtoh,
Did you ever resolve your issue with the random white screens. I also have a 9700 and have the same issue. Within a week of purchasing I was getting the same issue. Not sure it is a h/w issue as i sent my Bold back for repairs and was told there was nothing wrong with it.
It's only after restoring my data & 3rd party apps that i get these random white screens of death. - 12-10-2009, 05:57 AM #13
