3G Problem ! Need Input !
Hello ,
I have a factory unlocked 9700 that came from america and I am based in Dubai .
When I turn on 3G , it connects for about 2 seconds and then disappeares ! I understand that it may be using different bands etc but this is factory unlocked !
On the other hand , my friend has a t mobile unlocked and 3G works flawlessly here ..
Any ideas ?

What brand was your 9700. Is it a T-Mo brand or the AT&T unit. They run on two different 3G frequencies.

It doesnt have a brand . Its factory unlocked , unbranded

When i start up the phone , blackberry splash screen appears . the bb doesnt have any logo on it as well .

What carrier on you on? What carrier is your friend on that gets the solid 3G signal? And where did you buy the phone?

We are both on the same carrier . He got his from t mobile and I got mine from ebay but was garanteed that it was factory unlocked .

I dunno - maybe you got a pre-release device. Have you checked the network settings? What band does your carriers 3G run on (2100?). Your phone supports the 2100 band?
