Hi everyone. Well, my friend and I live in Argentina. We have both bought two Blackberry's Bold. The difference is that I bought the 9780 in my country, and his family brought him a 9700 from the US. My question is, can I make, the 3G on his phone, to work?

The Bold 9700 your friend has isn't compatible with the 3G bands in your country. Even if you update the OS, it still won't get 3G.

Sounds like your friend bought a 9700 with incorrect 3G bands for your country. If that's the case, there is nothing you can do... it will never get 3G, only EDGE.

Done! I have installed .666 on it and it provides Spanish

If he chose an AT&T bold, I think that it should work, since the frequencies (850-1900Mhz) are the same for the AT&T and the argentinian networks, right?
