Default Wireless Hotspot for Bold 9650?

HI Blackberry Geniuses..!

I need your help on this please.

I am using a Verizon Blackberry Bold 9650. And I want to create a WIFI HOTSPOT with this. I know, and I am successfully able to tether with a WIRED Connection to my Laptop.

After much research I understand, that 9650 has limited capability with creating WIFI hotspots. (PDAnet for wireless hotspot doesn't work here in my experience.. Please correct me here, if there has been any success).

I am ready to purchase an additional Wireless Router, which can Work with my Blackberry Bold 9650 on Verizon, so that I can create the Wireless HOTSPOT.
Can I get any advice on any compatible Wireless Routers(travel routers are preferred .. even other wise, anything that can create WI-FO from my phone is good).

I am aware of my tethering charges, from Verizon and I am OK with that.

Thank you guys. in advance.

umm the only type of "wireless tethering" that the Bold 9650 supports is via Bluetooth...and that gives you much slower speeds than Wi-Fi or over a USB cable for that matter.

Unfortunately, the 9650 will never see support for wi-fi hotspot tethering

The Cradlepoint series of routers have a few that will do what you want. There's even one that's battery powered that you can use anywhere you have cell service.

Which particular router will work? I tried the CTR-35 and could not get it to work. How about the PHS-300? I am also looking for solutions.

Default Please be Specific Geeks..!

Hi BB Geeks,

Yes I did my fair bit of research before I put this question here. If there is something possible please be specific, and the link, which corresponds to it.. so that it is helpful.

@lobsterboxed.. I have tried the PHS300, which doesn't work.
@Trucky Thank you for the link, I couldn't find anything useful though.
@Culex316 the BB Bold 9650 for Verizon, doesn't support Bluetooth Tethering, I have pulled my hair out, trying to do that.

Any other Update Guys..?
I am ready to spend on any additional device which can support this.
Thanks in advance!

I know this is a couple of months old, but just in case you are still looking. I was able to get the cradlepoint routers (CTR500 and CTR35) to work but this was only after I downgraded to OS 5.0. I don't remember getting it to work on 6.0
