Default Why No Zoom in BB Browser?

Bold 9650 running 6.0.0.524. Why can't I zoom in the BB browser? Sometimes the BB menu will have Zoom in it, sometimes not?? Alt key and track pad zoom, sometimes works, sometimes not?? How am I suppose to read tiny letters on a small screen? I have downloaded Opera mini 6.5 but its seems way slow compared to the BB one. Any suggestions???

When it's not able to zoom, are you on a mobile site? Some mobile sites just don't allow you to zoom at all, even on the 99xx no pinch to zoom either. I've even pulled up some mobile sites on my PlayBook that has super small font and can't zoom either. But if you go to the full site then you should be good to go.

Well I miss my Storm 2, even with the speaker issues. But I got tired of it locking up all the time and decided to just go use my Bold instead of screwing with it. I love BB but hate when they do an upgrade and it seems no one ever tests or uses it before it is put out for downloading.

There might be those that would say your problem is the .524 that you're running. However, I ran it from the time it leaked and had no issues like many reported. I now run .706 and my only issues are theme related and minor.

Unlike you, I found OM to be more responsive than the native browser. Also, I believe that .524 offers a "text wrap" feature that makes things easier to read. It's been a while since I used the native but I believe you tap the trackpad to go into text wrap mode. There are some older threads dealing with this so you might do a search and get a better answer. Good luck.

I agree with i hiker. I ran 524 for several months with no problems, text wrap worked on most sites. I did use OM as a alternate and it was very responsive. I'm now running 706 and it's been great. Native browser is fast and no need for OM.

I am running a 706 hybrid and still use OM6.5 on a couple of sites and will say it is better than it used to be. BB browser is fine for most sites though, so rarely have to switch.
