?
need i say more - 01-11-2011, 06:15 AM #2
I'm switching from Blackberry, I was so set on getting the Iphone until last week when Verizon announced the Bionic! The Bionic is the phone to have and practically does everything more then an Iphone can do.
Current Device: Blackberry Bold 9650
Future Device: Droid Bionic 4G!

Staying with my Bold, for sure. Have never been one to jump onto the hamster wheel of New Tech Hype.

Agreed. Of course I am going to get an iPhone for my wife. I can play with hers and see how well it does in the wild, and then wait for an LTE iPhone. Of course by then, VZW will probably do away with unlimited data for new phones.
I love my Bold too much (it does what I need it to do)....I don't see changing any time soon! - 01-11-2011, 08:01 AM #11
^^^^this is where I'm living too.
I've *considered* the iPhone last yr sometime, but that passed quickly. lol. I have an iPod Touch and iPad to 'play' on, and honestly alot of the time my kids are using it and I'm on my bb.
I'm satisfied with the functions of my bb, and I won't follow "electronic" suit just to keep up with the Jones' so to speak. *life is just a beach, I'm just playin' in the sand....you know you at the top when only Heaven's right above it*

BB suits what I require re. functionality. Been using one for about 2 years and have been satisfied with the performance.

I'm definitely dumping this 9650 and getting an iPhone. Will probably wait until one of my phones need to replaced. I can't dump this Blackberry soon enough

Been waiting for this to happen and it finally has! - 01-11-2011, 11:34 AM #21
Switching to the iPhone for sure right on February 10th. BB is just way too behind to keep me as a customer. BBM isn't enough.
Might wait a bit and get one of the newer Droids though. I'll probably return to BB once their QNX devices catch up to the competition....probably 2012. - 01-11-2011, 11:46 AM #22
Saw the video on the new iPhone 4. It really shows how far Blackberry lags in phone technology. The retinal display is awesome and great for the eyes. I'm always squinting with my BB because everything's too small and low res..Man, I gotta get that iPhone.

It's interesting to see that the CB "Will you switch to iPhone?" poll they posted in the blog today already has more than 4000 votes and is currently split at about 56% will NOT switch and 44% WILL switch.
If that's any kind of representative sampling (which it certainly is not, especially when posted on a forum about BBs), I suspect RIM would be interested in the numbers . . . whatever the final results of the poll turn out to be. - 01-11-2011, 01:43 PM #25
The iPhone is nice but it's not for me. I'm ok with my Bold for now but if I were to switch soon it would be an Android because they have more to offer in my opinion.
