Unlocked Sprint 9650 (AT&T Sim card)

A Bold 9650 was given to me yesterday to replace my current go phone after my iPhone 4 breaking. I put my AT&T sim card in it and it works fine except I cannot get on the 3G network. It stays on edge. Neither can I MMS or use the internet. I followed the method using crackutil and the Desktop Manager but still the same problem occurs. Only difference is that it says it doesn't have "sufficient network coverage". What are my other options?

You cannot get 3G on any North American GSM carrier's network if you use an unlocked Sprint world phone. The 3G GSM frequencies are only possible overseas.

MMS requires a BIS plan (BlackBerry data plan), as does the BlackBerry browser. Go Phone is not capable of BIS.

Yes, make sure that you get AT&T to change your data plan to a BlackBerry plan.

u should also make sure the pin is not tied to any bis or u might have a problem there too

yea change your plan to a BB data plan and make sure service books are sent to the device from email setup. also, as stated, you will only get "EDGE" as 3G wont work on it since it doesnt have the right frequencies.
