unlock doesnt work
So i aquired a 9650 and it works fine. the problem is that it was an alltel phone. i went to unlock it, got a code and went to put it in. on the SIM screen it comes up blank, i did the MEPD and it came up as:
SIM: disabled
Network: disabled
Network Subset: disabled
Service Provider: disabled
Corporate: disabled
I went to put the code in with mep(alt) 2 and nothing happends. i dont know if its already unlocked or anything and when i put my AT&T SIM (active i use it in my other phone now) it wont recognize it either. do i need to get with alltel (verison) to see if they can help me? - 06-28-2012, 05:18 AM #2
"Network: disabled" indicates that the device is already unlocked.
Is it possible that the device has been reported lost or stolen or blocked in some other way?
Note that neither Alltel nor Verizon will likely provide you with assistance in using the device on AT&T. - 06-28-2012, 07:36 PM

Blackberry unlock and signal
Yes, according to your post your Blackberry is unlocked.
Sometimes when a SIM card is invaild or a the SIM slot is damaged it will look like the phone is locked but a locked phone is just giving the "no signal" screen when a sim card from another carrier is used.
If on a Blackberry, all the lines on the SIM card personalization screen are disabled then the device is 100% unlocked and the problem is not related to the unlocking it self.
