Text message disappered but shows 1-7 messages

Help! I had a txt message with several messages and they disappered but the message shows up but when you click on it no conversation is there and it says 1-7 messages at the top? How can I recover those messages?

Have you tried a battery pull? Remove the bettery while the phone is on, wait a few seconds, and replace.
