Sprint 6.0.0.706 released via Desktop Software; unofficial zip for everyone else
Official link:
Latest Official 9650 OS 6.0.0.706 Sprint (Multilanguage)
9650/6.0.0.706
This morning Sprint finally made OS 6.0.0.706 available for 9650 via BlackBerry Desktop Software. That's great for Sprint users, but other carriers can't really use that.
So, this morning OpenSourceBB extracted the cods and radio file for 7.0.0.706 from the temp directory as Desktop Software downloaded it. You can download the files from:
http://opensourcebb.com/2011/12/6-0-...int-installer/
NOTE! YOU MUST ALSO DOWNLOAD AND UNZIP THIS FILE AND PLACE IT IN YOUR OS FOLDER!

Installation instructions can also be found at that link.
Hopefully soon Sprint will release an official installer, and the .zip will be unnecessary. Until then, happy downloading!Last edited by BigBadWulf; 12-02-2011 at 10:59 AM. Reason: fixed link again

Shane's server is a tad slow, but I'll put it in my Dropbox as soon as I can, and post the link here.

Remember, this not something for a novice. If you don't know where the files go, don't do it.

faizakakak, google "whats my ip address" and PM me what it says, and I'll see if your IP is blocked.
We blocked a lot of IPs for traffic leeching. - 12-01-2011, 12:01 PM #5

I already installed it last night....]
Initial findings:
Good:
-Tad quicker UI than .587 stock (which I was running)
-New button for turning off all connections
-Battery life seems to be the same as stock .587 (which is a good thing as it was really good then, -4.9% average discharge rate per Tiny Meter)
Bad:
-Even though Sprint says this fixes the random reboot when web browsing issue, I experienced otherwise.....when loading the mobile Gmail page, I got a random reboot and the same white screen that you get when resetting that says "ARM11: DAL Critical Failure, ARM9: (blank) etc and a bunch of other stuff - 12-01-2011, 12:29 PM

This doesn't provide a full OS update does it?
In other words, if I have .587 already on my computer and phone, it'll keep some 587 files?
It just updates the radio and core files?8330 ---> 9530 --> 8330 --> 9650 --> HTC Thunderbolt & 32G Playbook - 12-02-2011, 09:30 AM
