Default Slow Response with Music on OS 6?

So, I transferred an album to my blackberry to listen to this morning; and I notice when turning down the volume during playback, the response is really slow and lags alot, even when switching songs, etc.
Is this just me, or does anybody else have this issue? I am running OS 6.

I have 833 songs on my 9650 and do not have any lag. I am also using 6.0.0.706.

I have over 1800 songs on my 16gb sandisk memory card and I have not experienced any "lags". What brand memory card do you have, how many songs, and how many gigs? This combination may make a difference. I'm also using the lastest OS6.0.0.706,

I only have that album, so about 12 songs. Memory card is also a Sandisk 16GB. I am running .706 as well.

Would upgrading, downgrading, and then upgrading again have anything to do with it? Silly question; but just wondering if maybe space is being taken up that shouldn't be or something.

Depends on how you upgraded, Claire. If you did anything OTA then YES!!! you have tons of extra files you need to remove. Let's start with your files free. This would be the files free on your device, NOT THE CARD. Check your Options and tell us how much file free memory you have.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like a memory card issue to me. Did you purchase the 16gb from a store or off ebay. Is it an official sandisk card? Maybe "safely remove" and reinsert the mem card. Like JayDee said the best way to upgrade is NOT OTA, try desktop.

Just try to upgrade with Desktop Installation, don't forget to shrink it.
If you don't wanna shrink, use the OS Hybrid. There are a lot of OS Hybrid for 9650 you can find in this forum
