I have several issues:

1. At various times, such as making a call, hanging up, using the browser, etc., the device just hangs there. The little box with the clock comes up and turns forever.

2. The browser runs very slow, and no faster on wi-fi than 3G.

3. Battery life sporadically is very short.

Yes, I've rebooted, reset, done a security wipe, done a complete reset to factory default, and have reinstalled my apps. No difference.

I'm very unhappy with this device, and also RIM, which I don't expect to survive much longer. When the iPhone5 with LTE comes out this fall, I'm switching. However, I have to make do with my 9650 until then. Any good advice is welcome.

Sounds like an app problem, sometimes certain apps just don't go well with certain OS's. I would suggest removing apps and one by one seeing which one doesn't agree with the phone. This might be annoying to do, but at least you will have a working device before you purchase the iphone 5. I remember a theme that I wanted, but it just did not agree with my phone......it happens

I think Verizon has a new op system judging from what you posted, although I dont know if that is much of a difference. I just did a fresh install on mine thru desktop manager and everything seems to be back to normal. Mine was getting sluggish and I had lost 100mb of memory, dont know where but it came back with the fresh install. It wasnt a leak so that puzzled me. Dont forget to back everything up. I backed up some things to the sd card and just restored them after. It took awhile but in my opinion it was worth thee time. Good luck whatever you try, these thing can be frustrating.

omg this phone has more issues and causes me more stress and wasted time every day. i probly spend half hour or more a day waiting for phone with hourglass and rebooting and freezing etc. ive had this phone for around 2 years and its been this way the whole time and i just put up with it. i had it replaced twice in beginning but both replacements sucked just as much so i gave up with that. plus sprint extended my contract both times they replaced my phone . ive tried every os and wipes and have no extra apps just to keep the phone barely working. rim underpowerd this phone and built it so cheaply . waiting for iphone 5 if this thing will last

I'm happy with my Bold 9650, runs very good. I'm using 6.0.0.706 from Sprint. I hope your iphone 5 is problem free and you enjoy it when it's released
