Side convenience buttons don't work after installing OS 6

After installing OS 6 on my 9650, my side convenience buttons don't work, and the phone won't let me program them. When I went to HELP, it said that it may have something to do with the current theme, but OS6 only installs one theme. Does anyone have any insight on this? The 9650 is awesome-wouldn't have anything else!

Did you go to Options>Device>Convenience Keys, that is were the settings for these keys are. I've been on many of the leaks and hybrids since the first BB6 leak and have never had a problem with these keys.

I have gone to the settings, and when I try to select the convenience key setting feature, it does nothing-very frustrating.

Did you make sure the Voice Activated Dialing installed? It appears this is linked to the convenience keys.

If you shrink out the VAD files or delete VAD, the convenience keys sometimes cannot be changed from the default settings. There is a fix for that in one of the hybrid OS threads.

Also. I always shrink out VAD and just make sure my keys are where I want them before I do the upgrade. Everything saves and restores same/same using app loader exe.
