I want to clone my 9650 to my Storm 1 So i can reinstall my OS on my 9650

I thought it was a simple put the SIM card from the 9650 into the Storm, but guess not

Ignore that response.

1. If you are using the device on Verizon in the US, you are not using the SIM card.

2. What do you mean when you say you want to "clone" your 9650 onto your Storm?

If you are merely trying to update the OS on the 9650 and then restore the data back to it, then just do a backup with the BlackBerry Destkop Software and follow the instructions to backup the Third Party Applications. And then just restore everything after you update the OS.

If you are trying to do something else, can you give more details?

+1....by "cloning" you mean....?????? You don't move SIM cards between VZW devices.

I just went back and read one of the OP's other threads. (Not sure why he created a new one instead of just staying with that one.)

If you simply want to ACTIVATE your Storm while you wipe and reload the OS on the Bold, then you can dial *228 and press 1 to activate the device on Verizon. Then do the same with your Bold when you want to activate it.

Note if you want to get your emails on the Storm, you will need to change devices in your BIS.

Not sure why you would want to do this though, as the update process only takes about a hour or so.
