Otterbox Defender Belt Clip Question

I was thinking about buying a new otterbox defender for my bold but I can't find any specs on the belt clip. I usually wear a 1.5'' leather belt and I'm concerned the clip won't accommodate my big belt. I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with this issue. Will it work?

go to a best buy, and open one up
put it on your belt and see how it works.

Thanks for the suggestion but that's not really an option for me.

I believe john yester here got a utility belt clip for his as he is a firefighter. I would email their sales dept and ask if you can buy one with the extra big clip rather than the normal one.

They are out there but you may have to get the otter with the normal one and then buy the extra big clip after the fact.

Cancel that. Just talked to john and he said he didn't have it. I know I've seen them around though. I can measure mine but I know it fits on my normal belt.

They did have one for older devices.

Seidio has came out with a Convert Combo for the new Bold line up that fits a "Duty" belt, but not for the 9650 device.

Maybe they will adapt this holster change to other device, but most likely not.
