Default Need a little help, some answers.

Hey, so my girlfriend has a bb bold 9650 for verizon and she upgraded to an iphone4s how can I tell if her bb is still activated or not? And how do I go about unlockingg the phone, I have AT&T so how would it work for my phone number if Verizon doesn't take a sim card I'm confused. I'd really like to unlock this phone I know I have to buy an unlock code or something if someone could help me I'd appreciate it

If she upgraded, it should be inactive. The Bold 9650 has a SIM card slot, it's purpose is for international GSM use, but it can be used on US GSM carriers also. You'll only get EDGE (2G), not 3G. You can get an unlock code from here: BlackBerry Unlocking
Perhaps life is just that...a dream and a fear.

Ok so if it's inactive then can I use the imei number to get an unlock code and use the phone for AT&T? And I'm trying to unlock the blackberry not the iPhone. What's edge just slower service? But still functional

That 9650 will work on AT&T once it is unlocked, however, you will NOT get 3G coverage with it, only EDGE. EDGE is significantly slower than 3G. It will work though.

OP you could have youre girlfriend try asking verizon for the code as well, have her tell them shes going overseas for a trip or something they may give it to her for free, DON'T have her tell them shes giving it to you to use on another carrier, and the EDGE (2G) will only affect data i believe you should still be able to make calls and texts fine
