Missed calls get no voicemail greeting, just silence

Hi,

I tried searching for this problem but all other topics seem to address no voicemail notifications...

Carrier: Verizon
Phone: Bold 9650
VVM: 2.0.22

Problem: After a call goes unanswered, the caller hears nothing but dead silence, there is no voice mail greeting or any other voice mail options. I had no problems until I installed the vvm 2.0.22 update but I am not certain if that is the problem as I now have no voicemail service, not just vvm.

Any ideas what this could be? Should I re install an older version of vvm?

I don't use VVM, so I can't give you a definitive answer, but if you reinstall the older version and the problem goes away, that'd be a strong indicator that the problem is either with the new version, or with the install. I assume the problem affects all callers the same. If it is just one caller that's affected, you need to compare that caller's settings to the ones that are not affected.
