Default Level 1 Message Help

This worked before, but suddenly stopped between Thursday 10/13 and Sunday morning.

Background:
My BB is work issued because I need to be "on call." When one of our processes fails, an email message is sent to my work email address from a server. When I got the device (about 15 months ago), I configured it to use an obnoxious ringtone for Level 1 messages (and used email filters to define a level 1 message as coming from the server). I then edited all profiles, even Silent, to assign Level 1 messages to that annoying alert ringtone I'd picked. This worked well until last week.

I received an alert and the device went off on Thursday afternoon. On Sunday morning, I woke up and noticed that alerts should've occurred at 3 am. the messages are still set as level 1, but no ringtone plays. Now, I cannot even FIND where to assign level 1 messages a specific ringtone - the option has disappeared. I know HOW to do it, but it's not there. Can anyone help? I've followed the steps below, and nothing has changed on my filters or profiles (at least, not intentionally).

1. From the Home screen, open the Profiles menu.
2. Scroll to highlight the profile that is currently active.
3. Open the menu and select Edit.
4. Select Level 1 Messages and change the settings to indicate the desired response to high priority email messages. <<I don't see level 1 messages here! But I used to!>>
5. Open the menu and save the changes.

Are you on BES? If so, I wonder if a BES admin inadvertently disabled the feature. Also, did you pull the battery yet and do a hard reset?

Default BES / Hard Reset?

Thank you for the reply. I believe I am on BES, as it's a corporate issued device. I have tried a hard reset to no avail. I just did another one though, and now the option is back. I guess maybe it merits trying more than once at times, something I'd not considered.

Thanks.
