Default keyboard shortcuts not available in 0S6?

We all develop habits with our blackberries.

Mine happens to be the use of keyboard shortcuts to launch the calculator, calender, address book, messages, etc.

So, that is no longer an option with OS6? I can't seem to find a way to make it work.

Please don't tell me that I'm going to have to scroll around for that stuff!

(I know about the convenience keys, but they won't do it for me. And I can't get the spacebar to launch in QuickLaunch either... wondering if that is related to the same problem above)

    Thanks for any help

I think your keyboard shortcuts will work if you go to Options/Display/home screen pref and change the top box to application shortcuts.

    oh yes... that's hit.

OK... I'm good with OS6 now. whew!

sidenote: the OS is very snappy. no lags at all. There is something about it that is easier on the eyes in general, too. Not sure why, but it is easier to read and ID the icons.

    Thanks!
