    Default Just Upgraded to .431

Downloaded the OS using my BlackBerry Took about 12mins.

Steps that I used is the steps that Jaydee5799 <----- THANKS TO HER AND MUST THANK HER!

The process took about 30-35mins then start using it.

    First Impression is that:

    Wireless Network Registration is FAST
Browser Loads pages Quick compared to .415 (IMO)
Facebook now reads my device as 9780 compared to .415 that It reads it as 9670.
    Scrolling through trays feels snappier
Battery Life (Will Observe it for a day or 3)
Boot Time seems to be faster.

Thats All for Now will be updating after 3 days

My thanks also to jaydee and many others who have been my behind the scenes assistants as I have moved from a 8330 (trusty and true) to the 9650 and os 6. I am still with alltel (in a divested market not yet picked up by verizon) but the new verizon 431 is working well. Thanks to jaydee and others.

Yes, jaydee, thanks. I was inspired by you and others to go ahead and install Verizon's .431 on my Sprint 9650. It is working fine, so far. Let's see how it goes after a few days.

You can't get the Verizon file to install over the air (OTA) on a Sprint phone. Download the file on your PC, and install that way.

    Download link

I suggest following this excellent advice:

    2. Delete all other OS installations from your pc.
    3. Install the 431 to your pc.
    4. plug your phone into your pc with a usb cable.
    5. If you want to shrink the OS (remove some of the extra files) download BB Hybrid Tools from here:BBHybrids Tool (Public Version) - Downloads - BBHybrids Forums
IF NOT, jump to step 7
    6. If you are shrinking, double click bb hybrid tools exe and open the window and check anything you DO NOT want to install. Click SHRINK MY OS when finished.
    7. If you ARE NOT using a shrinking method, jump from Step 4 right to here and look for vendor.xml by going to c:/programfiles/commonfiles/researchinmotion/apploader/vendor.xml You can leave the vendor file if you are on VZW!!!!
    8. then stay in that same folder and double click the LOADER.exe file and your OS will start to install.

During the process, the loader will backup your data and apps, wipe your device and load the new OS and put everything back.

It all seems a bit overwhelming, but I'll give it a try when I get to my pc. Thanks a million.

It's not difficult but make sure you know what you're doing. Also, backup your device with DM and your third party apps with BBSAK. Ask if you have any questions.
