Default Introduction and audio out question

Hi everyone. Since this is my first post, I have a quick introduction and then a question.

I would be embarrassed to say how long I have been lurking here but suffice to say I love this site and all you fellow bb addicts. I had been using an 8330 for about 3 yrs that was getting a bit worn and needing replacing. I moved to the EVO for about 3 days then to the Epic for about 3 weeks before I was able to fully appreciate the true beauty and genius of Blackberry. So, I have a 9650 on order that should arrive any minute now and in the interim, I’m back on the 8330 (and thankfull too).

In the car I use a Parrot Bluetooth to handle phone calls and it works great. I’m sure it will work great with the new 9650 too, but, it’s an older unit that only sends calls to the car radio, not audio like music or podcasts. So, here’s the question. Does anyone have a solution for sending audio from bb to car stereo that is not Bluetooth equipped or have an audio in port on the front? I’m thinking something that plugs into the cig lighter and into the bb, and plays through the radio. Thanks for your help.

You mean like a fm transmitter? Kinda confused what you're looking for exactly (what type of inputs does your car have?).

They have BB speakermounts that connect through BT and handle calls as well as route audio (music, etc) through FM transmitter. So that would work as a total replacement.

That's kind of the problem. The car radio is not BT equiped, has no cassett player (but does have a CD player), and no audio in jac on the front like the newer radios have. So I'm kind of limited to something like an FM transmitter but not sure what units are the best. Any recomendations?

Thanks for the links. I checked them out and it's not quite what I had in mind, but it got me thinking. I'm going to search for a cig adapter fm transmitter and charger that has a USB connector and a bb compatable headphone plug. That way I can stay charged, listen to music or podcasts and still take calls through the Parrot BT device. Thanks for the help papped. You got me to focus and think about exactly what I wanted to do.

That's easy, there's a ton of those, like this for example.

Amazon.com: Macally PodFM Transmitter for iPod (White): Electronics
