Internet without BIS on BB 9650 with OS 6 not working.

Hello Guys,
This is my first post to this forum. I am from india, i bought unlocked verizon BB 9650. I want to start surfing internet with regular data plan and do not want to use BIS.

I was able to access internet on OS 5 without BIS (I followed one of the tutorial on this site). There i had only one problem that i had only one option in browser option-->hotspot browser. did not had option to change it to internet browser.

Then i wanted to use OS 6 so I wiped the device using BB Swedish Knife and installed OS 6.0.0.706. Then i did all the settings which were working on OS 6 but internet is not working.

Kindly help.

P.S :- Here what i mean by internet is normal gprs data plan. I am using vodafone india.

this option has varied success on os6.

go back to OS5 or get a real data plan for blackberry.

I have moved back to OS 5 and it works fine with normal gprs data plan with opera. There is one question, I installed service book for BB browser provided by anworm and i got option for browser in Browser Option. When i try to access internet through BB browser the service book got deleted and got some error. Also when i do a battery pull only BrowserConfig service book gets deleted. One thing to mention, 2 service book in my phone came by default

1). Wi-Fi TCP/IP Browser [BrowserConfig]
2). Wi-Fi TCP/IP Transport [WPTCP]

Can some one tell me right method to install service book so that it does not gets deleted.

It's not "hit or miss", what the OP is trying to do is access TCP/IP Internet on a Bold 9650 with OS6 and it simply does not work on OS6 (even though it works fine with OS5).

I've even checked the event log and even after putting in another carrier's TCP/IP settings, it still tries to connect (in my case) to the default TCP/IP settings for either Verizon or Sprint.

download ROM 600 then install,and copy the java folder to another drive,then uninstall this ROM.

download ROM 706 then install,replace the JAVA folder with ROM-600-files,then WIPE and load.

done

One question, i may sound stupid but what is ROM and what it is used for? from where i can find that ?
it would be nice if you can give me link from where i can download both versions.
