I wonder . . .
. . . if hey will make it easier to search for OS 6 themes by creating its own sub forum? Don't you agree that it will make it easier?

I agree this would be better for the theme section.

It is not a bad idea, but I do see that many of the thread titles in the themes forums state os6 if the theme is designed for it.

Yes but you still have to scroll through pages and pages of non os6, takes time, and in some cases it is frustrating if you load the wrong one and it doesnt run.

I agree with the idea. Not every theme builder clearly states that their theme is for 5 or 6. Either that or ask every poster to start their subject line with 6.0 or 5.0... Organization is always a good thing.

Purchased a theme from Mobihand for my Bold about 8 months ago. It is now available for OS6. Downloaded what I thought was the correct version when I reloaded apps. The theme would not load. I had to send a request to Mobihand in order to get the OS6 version. Probably not a lot of help here, but another piece of the OS6 theme puzzle.

Separating them by OS version would be a tremendous help

Again, probably good ideas, but probably needs to be posted in the "Site Questions & Bugs" forum to be seen by the admins/mods that need to see it.

I remember when I purchased my Curve 8330 (over 2 years ago) and I think the OS at the time was 4.3. Days later OS 4.5 was released and one had to make sure their theme(s) and apps were compatible. Got the Tour last year and retired the Curve...same thing. We were all raving about OS 5 with that device, but you had to make sure your themes and app worked with the new OS. Got the Bold several months back and here we are again. OS 6 is out and most of us who have been around a while seem to know the ropes. You've got to make sure your themes and apps are compatible with your OS and device. Personally, I don't see the need to categorize themes by OS. They are already categorized by developer and/or style. The developer should tell us what OS the theme or app supports. There should be a continuity from the theme developers to upgrade their products for the next generation of OS. Most developers have responded to this latest OS change quickly, but there seems to be exceptions. The best thing we can do is select wisely and pay attention, making sure we get the correct product. From what I read, we could possibly repeat this process when 6.1 is released.
