Default How to silence a calender alarm?

I have a recurring alarm set in calendar but I can't seem to silence it in any of the profiles, even the preset "all alerts off" still allows the alarm to go off. Am I missing a setting?

Make sure the volume is set to "Active Profile"...anything else will override the sound profile.

Where would I find this volume setting that gives me an active profile option?

Is this the Clock Alarm? Or a Calendar Alert?

Note that you cannot silence the Alarm Clock with the Sound Profiles. The Sound Profiles only control those items specifically listed in the profile.

Like he said, you can't silence alarms, but you can silence calendar alerts.

go into the calendar entry, open the one or all occurrences. scroll to reminder, set it to off.

edit: i re-read your post. you can go into your calendar > calendar reminders. you can set it to vibe only. the calendar alarm is just like the regular alarm....its mean to go off loud, like the regular alarm, regardless of the profile.

Thanks all, I guess I will have to find another way to set a daily reminder/alarm with out it going off during a meeting (unless I turn off the phone).

An alarm is just that: an alarm. It's designed to sound no matter what. A daily alarm is not the proper notification for your purposes if you only want it to sound once in a while. Set a recurring calendar reminder, and set your calendar reminders to sound in accordance with your active profile. Then, it will sound, vibrate, or be silent depending on your active profile. Otherwise, use your alarm and just remember to shut it off before a meeting and turn it back on after the meeting (more work).

And by the way, the alarm is designed to have the capability to turn on your phone and sound even when your phone is off. That way if you shut your phone off at night it will still wake you in the morning.

Within Fixmo tools there is an option to silence your phone automatically for appointments in your calendar. This might work for you. I use it and have alarms set for almost all appointments and don't get interrupted when silenced.

Hope that helps.
