How to re-install OS?
Ever since upgrading to 6 I have had crashing and battery issues. How exactly do I re-install the OS? Do I just do ELITE1's OS UPGRADE GUIDE again? Or do I uninstall before installing the OS again?

Just follow the guide. The os is wiped automatically during the procedure.

When I am doing the install, the device application selection has action as "none" next to the blackberry system software, instead of "install". Do I select the option to "Delete all currently installed applications before reloading your selections"? Or the "Delete all application data?"

When I go through the install, it literally takes 1 second and says it is done installing and restarts my phone. Is that all it takes?

You have to install the OS on the computer first. It takes longer than 1 second. I find that it usually takes about 20 minutes or so, depending.
Current device: White Samsung Galaxy S III 16GB
BlackBerry history:
Verizon: 8130, 8830, 8330, 9630, 9530, 9550, 9650, 9930

Apploader is not recognizing the os because it is not an update or more current version. If there is a more current os to download, download it and delete the vendor files. When you go thru Apploader, you should see the install options. Your other option is to use bbsak to wipe your device, goto Apploader and load your os.

Your need to have the os downloaded, then installed to your computer. Apploader will recognize a newer version to load. If it is not newer, it will not load it and you have to trick it into loading by deleting the vendor files. Wiping your device with bbsak will completely erase your os and Apploader will recognize it needs to load an os no matter what version it is.

Also, you most likely have a bad battery. Take it to your carrier store and have it checked. If you are having random reboots and your battery is drained after boot up, it is your battery, not the os.

I have the most current version of the OS on my device. So when I try to install the same version, I guess it just skips it since it isn't an upgrade like you said. I also am deleting the vendor file, but it still doesn't install.
Is bbsak the best option then? Will it be able to restore everything I currently have on my phone?

I think there are 3 vendor files to delete.
Wiping with bbsak will completely eliminate everything you have on you phone. Once the os is loaded after wipe, it will be like out of the box. You need. To back up your profiles on desktop manager and then reload them after os install. I think you can save your apps to a folder with bbsak but you can also just reinstall them with your blackberry id in app world. I still think your problem is the battery and not the os.
