Default How to get internet on a T-Mobile service

Hey...So I just recently purchased a Blackberry Bold 9650 (Sprint version) off Craigslist. It's unlocked and I'm using it on a T-Mobile service. I get Wi-Fi. And I also have T-Mobile's pre-paid monthly plan of $30/mo. for 100 minutes & unlimited text/web, but the things is, I don't get data. How can I get data?

P.S. Sorry, I'm a noob.

Search the forums for a guide on how to manually load T-mobile service books on a Storm and follow the steps.

Also, make sure you have a Blackberry data plan on your account.

Default Blackberry 9650 unlocked with T-mobile sim card

Your Blackberry Bold 9650 is unlocked so you can use a T-mobile SIM card.
But, to use Data services you need a Blackberry data plan, then register your device with your BIS account and also update the service books on your unlocked device.

You can get support from t-mobile for doing it, they can send you the service books and activate your BIS.
Then you will have the Data and BBM

I'm currently on T-Mobile's pre-paid monthly plan for $30 a month which includes 100 minutes + unlimited text/web. How can I get the 'Blackberry Data Plan? And how can I register my device with a BIS account (sorry, what is that & what does it mean?) Also, update my 'Service books on my unlocked device (what does this mean?)

P.S Sorry, I'm a noOob.

That plan is for non BlackBerry devices I believe. You will need to add the appropriate BlackBerry data plan mentioned by lak611 a few posts above this one. This the only way to get data properly working on your BlackBerry.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have a similar problem. Tmobile does not want to help. I have the tmobile data plan. How do I get the service books (in basic step by step instructions)?
