Default Help with Verizon Update

Yesterday I updated my Bold 9650 to the new OS. Ever since, my phone is extremely slow and keeps freezing. There is a delay from when I push a button, to when the phone responds. Any suggestions?

Have you pulled the battery and let it set for approx 60 seconds then reinserted the battery. I have heard of people needing to do this multiple times to get things settled in place

Same thing after I updated. That, and no email. It took like 6 battery pulls to get everything to run smoothly.

My battery was horrible the first day too. Seems ok now.

I have pulled the battery a few times. But I'll keep trying. And my battery had been bad as well. I was worried it was just my phone

I always pull the battery several times after updating. My battery life hasn't been as good either.

I've been pulling my battery and I tried clearing the activity log, and my phone still isnt working right. It was freezing up, and now it just has the little black clock thing in the middle of the screen all the time. I can't do anything on it!!!

No battery problems here, but I did notice that the first couple of time that I hit the menu key on mine to view all applications in full screen, that the screen just went blank.
On my wife's 9650, both her email accounts disappeared. On my 3rd battery pull to see if they come back. If it doesn't work this time, I guess I will run through the email setup and add them again

Try this:

OSBB 706v3

May want to clear all the misc database entries first. Open DM, File->Delete Data, hold Ctrl and select everything but things like Address Book, BBM, Custom Dictionary and the like. Clear all the others, especially Content Store, which can get monstrous. It's like a wipe, but a heck of a lot less traumatic.

I invested in the extended battery since I get 200 emails a day. It wouldn't last 6 hrs. Now its lasts 36 hrs. You will need to get a different back piece to hold it since its such a large battery. I haven't had any problems since.

Thanks. All I had to do was go into the setup screen. The accounts were there and to be re-linked. When I did that, everything came back

The VZ Techs can restore your email, just call their customer service if you still have a problem.
