Erratic Trackpad behavior 9650

Over last 4 days, trackpad on my 9650 has been exhibiting erratic behavior. If an item/icon is highlighted while moving, will "stick" and then automatically open, which is incredibly annoying. Kind of reminds me of "sticky keys" behavior in Windows as an analogy. Its like just by hovering that an item is being selected (i.e., hypersensitive touch as moving cursor around automatically selects an icon, hyperlink, or menu item). Running OS6 Hybrid v10. for awhile, although behavior just seems to have started in last few days. Any ideas? Thanks
