    Default Email Setup

I just got an unlocked Bold 9650, and when I try to set up my email, the only option is "I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server." I'm just trying to setup my own personal email account. Any suggestions?

Contact your carrier and enquire about the Blackberry Data Plans they offer. You will need a blackberry specific data plan in order to use email and other data functions.

    i deal with this often.

I reset the IT policy using crackutil, upgrade to most modern os, and in my case, have verizon send me the BIS provision. as previous post replied, you have to pay for it, but i switch phones all the time and they are always enterprise phones. once verizon sent me the BIS package, the option to set up a personal email appeared, and the enterprise email option disappeared. it's actually easy to do, provided your CSR knows anything about blackberries

    good luck
