Default Edit Video from Bold 9650 With Premiere Elements 7

I am trying to edit a video shot on my bold 9650 with adobe premiere elements 7. When I try to open the video with PE, I get an error saying it is an unsupported format or damaged file. PE claims to supports 3gp video so I am stuck. Adobe help doesn't turn up anything. New to video editing so figuring there's something simple I'm missing. Any suggestions?

After you move your vid to your computer, why not convert it to a format that the program DOES recognize? Use a free downloadable vid converter from download.com or something and then once you have it in a format that Adobe likes, then you can work on it.

Maybe I wasn't clear. The vid file is saved on my PC as a 3gp file. Adobe docs says PE does support 3gp files yet I get the error.

I like to use Real Converter. It is a free download from Real.com. It will download & convert vids from the web on your PC & automatically load the to your BB.
