Drinking the Cupertino Koolaid- for now
I feel kinda naked today. My wife bought me an iPhone for my birthday and, for the first time in a long time, I am without my beloved 9650. Not sure how this is going to work out, but we'll see. So far the new 4s does pretty much everything the BB was doing, but also has lots and lots of apps available. No brickbreaker, of course.

Ah, yes, my 9650 has been getting a bit long in the tooth. Freeze ups requiring battery pulls had been getting more and more frequent. Dropping it a few times on pavement did put a few nicks on it.
Seeing the new announcements on how the new BB 10 phones may look (just like a mini PlayBook) makes me wonder if I should have waited longer. BB10 looks as though it may be really, really good. So, I may be back soon. At least I do have my PlayBook. - 05-07-2012, 05:11 PM #2
You gotta use what there is . . .
. . . instead of waiting for what might be.
And if what might be comes to pass -- becomes what there is -- you can see if it does what you want and if it does, then move to that.
It's all a moving target, all the time, in technology as young as all this is. - 05-07-2012, 05:33 PM #3
I think BB 10 devices look great so far. I'm with a 9650 as well so I understand where you're coming from. Two years is a long time with a device! I'm hoping to win a 9930 to replace my 9650. Then grab a BB10 on release day.
Not sure I would want to lock myself into an old iPhone at this point. - 05-12-2012, 10:00 PM

After a week...
After a week with iPhone 4s....
I'm still not used to it. There was very little learning curve when going from Palm Centro to 9650. The Bold just worked. Very intuitive. I especially loved how everything could be done about 3 different ways. - 05-12-2012, 10:05 PM #5
Is this story really true? I mean: either your wife doesn't know you very well, or your BlackBerry isn't really as beloved as you say it is ... Did you ask her for the apple product?

LOL! Any phone that has its own website dedicated to mistypes is not for me!
My iPhone friends are always saying weird things that I have to try to interpret.
