Default Does anyone have a service book for verizon 9650?

Hi, I'm aware of the method of retrieving your service books. From what I read though you need access to a blackberry on your particular carrier. Well, I upgraded my brothers phone to OS 6 and he needs the service books for his browser. Everything else works fine.

Does anyone know of a solution without needing to retrieve the service books from another blackberry? Or can someone please email me the service books? Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Actually what he needs is a complete set of servicebooks ex email. We don't typically see the other servicebooks as we normally only see the email ones. The browser and some other features need servicebooks as well and they should be from the proper carrier where the BB is registered.

If I had them I'd send them to you; however, I don't have them. Good luck finding a set, as I understand it the browser will work once you have the servicebooks. If you need to do this again, backup the servicebooks before doing the upgrade so you will have them. There is a thread somewhere on CB that explains how to do it.

There is a leak on CB for the 6.0. For the 9650. I guess you can get it from that. If u are having issues I suggest you revert to the 5.0 from the DM and start from scratch

I was also told today by a Verizon phone rep it shouldn't be much longer for the Bold to get the 6.0 release. The new Curve will be released on Big Red with the 6.0. So the Bold will have it very soon !

Just to double check. Would this link be only for people with Verizon? Or anyone can make an account here? https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html

easy: to get service books. downgrade to 5.0 send service books to device. Follow this step by step.

http://forums.crackberry.com/f95/upd...-first-530398/

Once backed up. install 6.0

Then restore service book backup to 6.0 device.

I saw that method. I was trying to figure out a way to get them without downgrading OS's again. Thanks

Sure there are ways but what ever was on your device on 5.0 will work on 6.0. Since personal email, etc will be carried over.
